What is worth writing about
- A wrong number. If a figure on a page does not match your own calculation, send the inputs you used and the figure you got. That is a defect and it will be looked at.
- A broken or dead source link. Sources are checked on a schedule, but a link can rot between checks.
- A topic that is missing. Guides are written around the arithmetic readers find hardest, so a gap is usually a gap in that arithmetic.
- An advertising problem. An advertisement that misleads, breaks the page, or covers content is worth reporting. The site is funded by display advertising, so this kind of report is taken seriously.
What happens next
A reported figure is checked against the source, and the page changes if the figure was wrong. The review date on the page moves when the content is checked, whether or not anything changed, so the date tells you when a person last read the page.
